With gas prices near $4.00 per gallon, many patients cannot afford to get to daily treatments. Those who live in rural areas which are hours from major treatment centers such as Duke, Wake Forest and UNC are facing staggering costs associated just with getting there.

If a patient has a 120 mile round trip each day for radiation treatments and is driving an older vehicle getting just 14 miles per gallon of gas, the cost can be over $170 per week in gasoline alone!

We will try to match those who qualify with people who have fuel efficient cars to loan, drivers and gifts of gas cards.
